Lihuel Calel means 'sierra of life' in Mapuche. This park protects the Lihuel Calel sierras, an oasis in the Pampean steppe with endemic flora and archaeological sites with rock paintings. It is home to pumas, maras, vizcachas and a wide variety of birds.
