Parque Nacional Lanín

Created in 1937, Parque Nacional Lanín covers 412,000 hectares in northern Patagonia in Neuquén. Its symbol is the imposing Volcán Lanín (3,776 masl), one of the highest in Patagonia. The park protects forests of araucarias (pehuenes), cypresses and coihues, along with numerous crystalline lakes.
